...an epic new musical Tailor- made for Schools, Colleges and Youth Theatre
|
The drama....fast moving, filmic, joyous and heart-breaking. Big scenes keeping all the cast involved throughout. The music ..provides challenging and interesting chorus and solo pieces ranging from strong company numbers and haunting ballads to contemporary aboriginal-based songs for the Watchers. The dance...the Watchers never leave the stage. Their menacing dance and movement reinforces and enhances the story every step of the way. ...the script and score were perfect for a youth theatre cast with many dynamic female roles.... a great piece to dissect with young people... The score for the piece really helped me to get a sense of the period and setting. .. loved how classical atmospheres were juxtaposed against aboriginal inspired drum music. ... Production was excellent, showcasing the strength of the script and score .. Kenny McGlashan Associate Director Scottish Youth Theatre
